The range of microplate heat exchangers Danfoss for heating pumps, chillers and precision air conditioning applications with cooling capacity range up to 400 kW (up to 800 kW Z series). The innovative shape of plates optimizes heat exchange in condenser or evaporator, providing increased efficiency with reduced refrigerant charge and reduced energy consumption. The microplate heat exchangers are optimized for operation in air conditioning systems working on R410A, which are also compatible with R32, R452B, R454B refrigerants and other refrigerants for commercial refrigeration such as: R134a, R448A, R449A, R452A, R290 ect.

MPHE Micro Plate Heat Exchangers:

  • Features: Dimple pattern construction and Z construction (patented)
  • Advantages: better material usage, better heat transfer
  • Benefits: savings (less weight, less filling, higher efficiency and reliability)

Models from the MPHE series are equipped with multifunctional connections: socket and solder, which ensures easy installation.

Special applications for microplate heat exchangers MPHE

MPHE microplate heat exchangers type Z are higher efficiency evaporators. They are equipped with recessed plates which create an asymmetric Z-shaped refrigerant flow to optimize the surface area use and enhance heat transfer. All models of Z type evaporators are designed for both new and reconstructed buildings include compact installations on the roof and in the basement. In addition, this series is also suitable for use in waste heat recovery systems.

Standard exchanger BPHE

  • Corrugated plate
  • Point, contact connection
  • Worse flow through channels and recirculation

Innovative exchanger MPHE

  • Dimple-design plates
  • Plane and solid plates connection
  • Easier flow
  • Compact design

Micro Plate technology ensures a robust construction of the plate:

  • Surface to surface soldering
  • Thinner plates
  • 80% more soldering points per unit area
  • Larger contact surface
  • Less load

Key benefits of microplate heat exchanger MPHE:

  • Higher energy efficiency (40% comparing to standard heat exchangers)
  • Less refrigerant consumption (up to 20%)
  • Lower CO2 emissions and reduced carbon footprint
  • Compact design and less weight
  • Compatibility with other Danfoss devices
  • Suitable for oil-free systems
  • For applications with heat recovery (Z series)
  • Adapted to work with many refrigerants
