Horizontal Liquid Receivers HLR provide protection for the refrigeration system against fluctuating refrigerant demand, enabling proper gas circulation within the system. They serve as a buffer between the liquid and the hot gas on the high-pressure side, preventing the hot gas from entering the evaporator. Additionally, they are used for collecting and storing refrigerant from the system during maintenance procedures.
Optional equipment, such as the Rotolock valve, allows for servicing of the refrigeration installation without the need for refrigerant removal from the system.
