The range of gas detectors Danfoss GD designed to monitor, alert and detect the leaks of refrigerants such as: R717/NH3, R134a, R290, R32, R404A, R407C, R407F, R449A, R450A, R507, R744 (CO2). The devices were designed to meet the requirements for devices used in industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. They are equipped with replaceable calibrated on factory sensor plates. This solution simplifies the sensor replacement for maintenance or when it needs to be calibrated. Controllers are characterized by reliability and continuous monitoring in real-time. The Heavy Duty series was designed for ATEX/IECEx applications.

The series of gas detectors Danfoss GD includes models from Basic to Heavy Duty, complemented by a range of accessories. Gas detectors GDU can detect a lot of refrigerant types including ammonia (NH3/R717), CO2 (R744), fluorinated refrigerants (HCFC and HFC) and propane (R290).

They are offered with a variety of sensor types, that meet the specific refrigerant , application conditions and safety requirements of the refrigeration system, including electrochemical (EC), semiconductor (SC), pellistor (P) and infrared (IR). The analog connection or connection via Modbus provides easy communication with a central system. Autonomus gas analyzers are available with built-in relays which can be directly connected to external systems to activate alarm devices.

Advantages of the gas detectors Danfoss GD:

  • Factory preset to suit refrigerant and typical PPM requirements
  • Pre-calibrated and easy to replace Plug & Play sensors.
  • Service interval information and service alerts support optimized maintenance planning
  • Digital interface provides better accuracy and simplifies operation of the device
  • Automatic self-diagnosis ensures correct communication and operation between the devices and the system.
  •  Reduced risk of false alarms thanks to temperature compensated sensors (EC, P, IR).
  • In order to improve work safety, defective sensors with a too short life expectancy (<30% sensitivity) are rejected during the calibration process.
