The range of Copeland ZX hermetic scroll service compressors, approved for operation with the following refrigerant gases: R134a, R450A, R513A, R404A, R448A, R449A, R407A, and R407F. Models with volumetric capacities ranging from 5.92 to 18.80 m³/h form part of the Copeland ZXME condensing units for medium-temperature applications. The compressors are designed to best meet the requirements of frozen food applications. Thanks to the scroll compliance mechanism, they are highly resistant to liquid floodback. An additional acoustic enclosure provides sound attenuation of up to 10 dB(A).
Each Copeland Scroll compressor undergoes high-voltage, high-pressure, and helium leak testing, is factory charged with oil and dry air, and features a fully hermetic construction. The compressors are equipped with a single- or three-phase 50 Hz / 60 Hz induction motor, cooled by the suction refrigerant vapour. Copeland Scroll compressors are characterised by significantly higher energy efficiency than traditional reciprocating compressors.
