Cubigel Compressors S.A is a Spanish company manufacturing the hermetic compressors and condensing units in two plants located in Spain. The units are distributed through the agents and distributors to the customers operating on the commercial refrigeration market.

The history of the company begins in 1962 when Unidad Hermética was founded - the Spanish and French capital company with the aim of producing compressors range L, P and S under Tecumseh Products Co. (USA) license.

Due to its intensive activity Unidad Hermética joints Electrolux Compressors Group in 1988 under new name Cubigel S.A. with the aim to supply compressors mainly to the Household Refrigeration market, while keeping Commercial Refrigeration compressors as a secondary business. In 2002 the company was acquired by Appliances Components Companies Group (ACC).

ACC Spain counts with a strong know-how, expertise and long tradition in designing, manufacturing the hermetic compressors and condensing units. The Innovation, Research & Development Technology Centers, laboratories, qualified engineers and professionals are the keys to international leadership in the refrigeration industry. With date January 28th, 2009 the ACC Spain gained a new owner – American Industrial Acquisition Corporation. With this spin off a new company and brand was born Cubigel Compressors S.A.

The new name refers to historical brand Cubigel S.A. which was focused to provide a broad range of solutions to the commercial refrigeration industry.

Cubigel Compressors S.A. offers currently more than 500 different models, commercial compressors ranges go from 2,4cc to 34cc in most refrigerant gases, main voltages and for any type of application.
